The sport of “sports knife throwing” was officially presented at the international conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Russian Paralympic Committee.
Andrey Trokhov, President of the International Sports Knife Throwing Association (ISKTA), participated in the international conference "Development of International Sports Cooperation," dedicated to this landmark date.
Within the framework of the business program, Andrey Trokhov presented the development stages of our sport to the international community, highlighting its high social significance, accessibility, and great potential in adaptive sports—specifically for people with physical impairments (locomotor disabilities).
The conference brought together around 40 leaders and representatives of foreign national Paralympic committees, making the event an essential international platform for strengthening sports cooperation.
Following the official part of the event, the participants visited our practical venue, where they could personally get acquainted with sports knife throwing and try their hand at it. Pavel Smirnov, President of the Moscow Federation, and Varvara Soldatkina, Master of Sports of International Class, worked at the venue for the guests.
Also during the event, Andrey Trokhov presented a commemorative set of sports knives to Pavel Rozhkov, President of the Russian Paralympic Committee.
Such events are an important step in promoting the sport of “sports knife throwing” at the international level and expanding cooperation with foreign sports organizations.
Moving forward!
