From November 14 to 17, Minsk hosted the World Championship and the World Junior Championship in sport of «sports knife throwing». The Republican Center for Olympic Training in Athletics became a meeting place for national teams from nine countries around the world. During the four days of competition, athletes from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Mongolia, and several other countries competed for 34 sets of medals in individual events and determined the strongest teams in the team competition.
